(CNN) — Severe thunderstorms round Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport on Wednesday brought on 100 American Airlines flight diversions and led to hundreds of cancellations that prolonged into Thursday’s schedule.
More than 300 American Airlines flights had been canceled by noon Thursday, or 9% of its schedule, in response to flight monitoring website FlightAware. A complete of about 650 US flights had been canceled by midday ET.
